MSH teachers and students founded the »TEAM SUSTAINABILITY MSH« on the Campus »Arts and Social Change« in Hamburg-Harburg. Entertaining workshops, interesting lecture series, unforgettable excursions and cooperations with social institutions in the district of Hamburg-Harburg and in the HafenCity are planned. Thematically, the topic of sustainability should be the focus.
The project was initiated on the basis of the film »Tomorrow« with Celine Dion from 2015, which was attended by a group of teachers and students. Tomorrow shows a world of sustainable solutions to agriculture, energy, economics, democracy and education. »The film has left a lasting impression on all«. Afterwards, it was clear: »We want to commit ourselves to a sustainable MSH and strengthen the awareness of our university to our environment so as to play our part in stopping climate change«, says Elisabeth Richter, Professor of Intercultural Social Work at MSH. Her colleague Friederike Gölz, Professor of Creative Methods in Social Work, adds: »We want to guarantee our children - the society of tomorrow - the same green earth we find it now.«
The Sustainability Team MSH has split into different subgroups to be specific and interest-oriented.
