Final presentation of the seminar »Creative Methods and New Media«
The presentation of elective modules of the seminar »Creative Methods and New Media« by students of the course Social Work took place in the summer semester 2019 on July 19, 2019 under the theme »Swimming - Explorations and Search Movements«.
On May 20th, 2019, the 2nd POLi-Tag took place on the Campus Arts and Social Change.
The POLi-Tag stands for »problem-oriented learning in interprofessional teams« and offers students the opportunity to develop health-related solutions across all degree programs, integrating the perspectives of different health professions.
Expert conference of VIFF 2018
On November 14th, 2018, the VIFF symposium took place at the MSH Medical School Hamburg.
120 experts from northern Germany discussed the topic of »Practiced Interdisciplinary Cooperation«. The MSH had invited together with the Association Interdisciplinary Early Intervention (VIFF), Association North. Hostess was Prof. Dr. med. Liane Simon from the Family, Child and Social Work Department at the Art and Social Work Campus.
First Praxismarkt at MSH
On November 14th, 2018, the first Praxismarkt of the Family, Child and Social Work department of MSH took place on the Arts and Social Change Campus. The goal is to train tomorrow's skilled workers closely to the needs of people through practical teaching and research. To bring together the specialists of tomorrow and the practice partners, the practice market was launched.
Change of perspective – Presentation of the elective module Creative methods and New Media
Under this title, the students showed in summer semester 2018 on Friday July 13th, 2018 the results of their artistic examination within the elective modules in the seminar »Creative Methods«, in which about 100 students spent a week intensively studying different artistic media.
Opening of the rooms of the Department Family, Child and Social Work
The MSH Medical School Hamburg remains on its growth course and has ceremoniously opened the new Campus »Arts and Social Change« at the Harburg inland port. On an area of more than 2,500 square meters, since the winter semester of 2017/2018, the Family, Child and Social Work department has been housed in a former soap factory and is now located under the same roof as the Department of Art, Society and Health on an additional 2,000 square meters.

Since the winter semester 2017/18, the Department of Family, Child and Social Work has been based at the campus of our »Arts and Social Change« at Hamburg's inland port. Industrial charm meets state-of-the-art technology, so that in the character-filled lecture halls the best conditions for an optimal learning environment have been created. Discover the 2nd floor of the campus and get to know the different degree programs.
The Department Art, Society and Health
The Arts and Social Change campus not only houses the Department of Family, Child and Social Work, but also the Department of Art, Society and Health. The large-scale studios on the 3rd floor teach for example the programs Expressive Arts in Social Transformation (EAST), Intermedial Art Therapy and Art Coaching. Here you have the opportunity to get to know the department better.
